Tears of Joy and Relief

Today “Allison” came in with her special needs child, so excited to give a praise report for the good things that have happened in her life recently.
She shared how she had felt that her family was under a curse because of all the negative things that had befallen them, but recently she had been attending a local church where she was receiving support and prayer from the people there as well as prayer from us at Love INC.  She said she had always been willing to pray for and help others, but she had never been one to receive prayer for herself. Since allowing people pray for her and her son, dramatic changes in her situation have taken place.
She’s been approved for a 24-hour caregiver for her son, she has received Section 8 housing for a two-bedroom home so the caregiver can stay in the same room as her son and she can actually sleep at night (he must have someone with him at night because of his frequent seizures), and her son has been approved to receive free psychological treatment from a Christian psychologist—a miracle, she says, because this particular provider is not on the list for free service.  She was bubbling over, saying that she keeps crying tears of joy and relief, and giving all the glory to God for answering her prayers.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16b)
