Community Serve Project Success!

On Saturday, February 4th Jake Kanyer and 10 other students and adult chaperones from Veritas School in Newberg braved the elements to help two elderly Love INC clients with yard cleanup. It was a lot of raking and both clients were very grateful.

Here’s what one had to say: “Thank you for the people you sent. They really moved mountains and were so helpful!”

As a senior at Veritas, Jake has had the opportunity to serve as the leader of a “house” of about twenty 7th-12th grade level students. Organizing quarterly service projects such as the one described above have given students opportunity to create peer relationships that foster leadership, fellowship, and Christian maturity at school.

Thank you to Jake and Veritas School for truly making a difference in the community through the house system. We look forward to working with you in the future to meet needs in our community.

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”- Joshua 24:15
