“Katie” is a Newberg native who stumbled into a sad situation; while visiting her sister in Washington, her sister stole her car and most of her money. She then disappeared.

Katie used whatever money she had left to buy a bus ticket back to Oregon. But, upon her arrival she was assaulted and ended up with a broken jaw.

This resulted in a long hospital stay where Katie was just recently released.

Thankfully, she was able to get in contact with Calvary Chapel Church who graciously put her up in a hotel for the night.

Then on that Sunday some lovely ladies even picked her up and took her to church. Once Monday rolled around they brought her to Love INC where we were able to connect her with some resources that met her needs.

We are so thankful for a community that steps up in a time of need, we could not do it without churches working together!
